We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a reliable expert for our home improvement. We signed up and listed our needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as incompetent as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like pulling teeth.

Right away, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.
